"I was born an artist and I have spent a
lifetime developing my talent. It is amazing how much I still have to learn."
Sara Eyestone (12·12·43) is known for the glorious colors on her palette. Her
paintings are commissioned by private collectors and published internationally as Caspari
note cards, calendars, art posters, limited editions and as a signature line of products
including fabrics and intricate woven tapestries.
As a young artist Sara left her family home in the mountains of New Mexico and settled
on the Jersey Shore an hour by train from New York. It was there that she developed her
talent while attracting a following of collectors, press, and publishers. By 1986 the art
of Sara Eyestone had been featured throughout the country in 50 one-woman shows. Her
design titled THE GOLDEN LADY was chosen as the official Statue of Liberty commemorative
plate, and The New Jersey State Museum had a large retrospective exhibition of her
paintings and drawings borrowed from private collectors.
Saras work has been the subject of countless articles including three cover
stories for Jersey Woman Magazine. She is one of a small handful of American
artists featured on NBCs Today Show, and she has been honored by her Senators as a
businesswoman of achievement.
Eyestone presents business workshops for artists of all
levels of expertise interested in supporting themselves with their art. Her
creative approach to the business of art has empowered and inspired hundreds
of her fellow artists in workshops and seminars titled "Art Business-A
Creative Approach", "Success", "I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It On
the Road", and a studio workshop for artists titled "Painting with Painters"
Today Sara Eyestone welcomes visitors from all over the world to her private
gallery on the famous river walk in downtown San Antonio, Texas. She continues to paint for the art lovers who
commission her, draw their children and grandchildren, and travel to her workshops and
signing parties. Blossoms from The Rose Garden at The White House grace both of her
easels. "This is a collection I am painting for posterity, but then I feel that way
about all of my work."
Contact Sara Eyestone for an appointment if you and yours
